Human deficiency virus is a virus that can cause aids and is called hiv that causes progressive failure of the immune system. It is transferred through blood, semen, breast milk, pre ejaculate and vaginal fluids. Symptoms of the virus include, head ache, skin rash, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue and high fever. Hiv is sometimes a silent killer, it is un curable and most people won’t show any symptoms for years or ever. But if you take a blood test hiv will show positive within 3 months or getting the virus
If you go untreated for hiv your body will slowly loose ability to fight off disease or infection and will start to eat away at your tissues and organs and can potentially lead to full blown aids. If a women with hiv has a child through a regular birth the child will be infected with the virus unless they are taking a hiv medicine, also the breast milk the mother has contains the virus as well. But if the mother has a c section the baby is more likely to be born hiv negative.
Hiv cannot be cured, but it can be contained using drugs such as ARV’s that help to keep the amount of the hiv virus in the body as low as possible and help to relieve some of the symptoms. Being sexually abstinent is the only 100 percent way of keeping yourself safe from hiv, but wearing a condom can help keep the contact of the vaginal fluids and semen from happening. Also to not do drugs or sharing needles.
